As a Certified Welding Inspector and Certified Welding Educator, Doyle Roy, Jr. has run the full gamut in the welding experience. Decades of actually working in the field allows him to know first hand how welding processes operate. Working in multiple different facets within the industry such as power plant shutdowns and turnarounds, pipeline, food plants, etc which provides him with actual hands-on knowledge, understanding not only what standards need to be met and how to attain those standards but also how to spot specific areas, techniques and/or processes that could benefit from redirection before they become costly mistakes later down the line. 

 

As a college administrator, he has the frontline of the next generation of welders and is able to not only teach them skills within GMAW, GTAW and SMAW, (including stainless, aluminum & other uncommon materials) but is able to identify and relate with welders on a personal level. This also allows him to instill a work ethic that supersedes the norm, allowing the workforce to regain the skilled labor, work ethic and excellence that have been stripped from the industry along the years.  

These skill sets combined with almost a decade of inspections as an AWS CWI provide a standard of excellence and well-defined knowledge base that brings not only high-quality inspections, but assists large and small companies and owners in mitigating risk, maintaining compliance and providing consistent products that meet and/or exceed industry standards.
